Indian Curry-Spiced Ground Beef
When Indian Curry-Spiced Ground Beef came to be part of our dinner plans, I decided to make it specifically with Homemade Gluten Free Naan bread. I wanted something with a new, exciting taste for a weekend meal, but I needed it on the table in short order (you know how it is around the house with a famished family!). The boys feasted on Homemade Gluten Free Naan flat bread topped with honey before running out to do their evening chores, while I started some ground beef browning in a cast iron pan. I love the Mix-N-Chop for quickly breaking up the cooking hamburger. This is a must-have tool for me (my husband calls them “gadgets”) because I’m always hurriedly trying to complete a long list of plans for the day. I even carry it along in our 5th wheel trailer on camping outings. While the meat was browning, I continued with the meal prep by cutting up the onion, green peppers and jalapeño pepper.
I measured all the spices into a small bowl, then using the Garlic Press, quickly minced all the cloves and placed them on top of the sliced vegetables. I grated the ginger using the Microplane Fine Grater and added it on top too. When the meat was browned, I tossed all the ingredients into the pan, stirred, and then covered for a few minutes. With a few more stirs and some simmering time, the vegetables were nicely softened and dinner was served by the time the boys came back inside after their chores. Indian Curry-Spiced Ground Beef was a big hit with the Homemade Gluten Free Naan. Dessert needed to be light after all the bread, and the Blueberry Coconut Popsicles were perfect.
