This knife was given to be with a honing tool when I turned eighteen. It was a great gift and in the past 10+ years I have used it to prepare countless meals for my family. After thousands of hours of use (and perhaps a sliced finger once or twice!) this knife is as good as new. When I need it a to be sharped I just grab my honing tool, run it through a few times and its ready to go. I consider a good knife to be a staple in any kitchen, especially veggie loving kitchens!
